Thrift Store Show and Tell: Oh Captain, My Captain, Edition

Maybe my mom was right; horror movies can rot your mind. Whenever I see an odd, but innocent album cover at a thrift store, my mind jumps to an image from a scary movie. Want proof?

As soon as I spotted this religious music record cover...

... I thought of the subliminal images of "Captain Howdy" in the movie The Exorcist. 

Yesterday I saw this Captain Kangaroo LP cover.

And my mind immediately snapped to one of the creepier images in Stanley Kubrick's The Shining.

See? I've seen too many scary movies.

Mr. Blackwood, I'm sorry, and I hope you fired your makeup artist.

Captain Kangaroo, I'm just sorry. None of this was your fault.
