Why is there an image of a woman shaving her face on my can of Gillette shaving gel?

Look:

The instructions clearly indicate that this shaving gel is intended for the face, and the slogan "The Best a Man Can Get" is defiantly aimed at males. 

So why the female image?

Is this a subliminal reversal of the Secret ads from the 70's?

Gillette Gel: "Gentle enough for a woman, but made for a man. Sorry Sista."

Doesn't really work, does it?

The really weird part is that I buy these shaving gel cans in packs of three. I'm on my sixth can, and I just noticed this gal yesterday.
