Travels with Maggie

Maggie tore her ACL last spring. She has healed to the point where she can do stairs on her own, but we are hesitant to leave her at a dog kennel when we go on a trip. She might re-injure herself roughhousing with the locals.

So, this year Mags traveled with us to St. Louis for Thanksgiving with the grandparents. We took two cars, and our 95-pound-puppy got a backseat to herself. Although that's not where she wanted to be.

Somebody still thinks they are a lapdog.

This year I might like to receive squishes

Charlotte got to play on the computer with her grandpa during the Thanksgiving holiday.

I didn't know what they were working on, but later I spotted this on the laptop's screen.

That's a lot nicer than the note she left Grandpa in the bathroom.

Translation: "Move it! Out of the bathroom! So Long"

For teasing Grandpa, Charlotte was sentenced to doing house chores, which she seemed to enjoy.

FYI: Saint Nicholas, also known as Santa Claus, was born in an unknown month of 270 AD, so he would now be 1,747 years old

Thankful

I didn't blog during Thanksgiving week because I caught Char's stomach bug, and I felt slightly nauseous the whole time. On the bright side, I had no appetite, so I didn't gain any weight.

On the brighter side, Char surprised me with theses notes on Saturday afternoon.

Translation: Dear Dad, I am thankful for you.

The bottom note has made my "Top Ten Best Notes Ever" list.
